Free4ever....

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall

'SET' you free?"

The preacher had the congregation quote John 8:32 this morning.

And like most people, everyone said,
"set you free."

This was my first response, but it didn't sound right so I looked it up.

John 8:32
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free."

How often is this Scripture misquoted? An easy mistake.

Does it really make a difference?

                                          SET...
           MAKE...

Is there a difference?

YES!

You see, a guilty man can be SET free, but only Christ's blood can MAKE him free.

SO... Here's the difference.

One is what you are (set you free) and the other is who you are (make you free)...

Have you been set free through good works, church attendance, baptism, heritage?

If, yes... then your soul is still in bondage.

Come to Christ and He can MAKE you free. Free forever!

Have you been made free, but you still live as if you 're in bondage?

Ask for forgiveness and BE FREE!!!

Next time you hear this verse quoted, remember...

"Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall MAKE you FREE."
John 8:32

If you need to know more about how to receive this freedom in Christ, don't hesitate to comment or email. God is waiting to MAKE you FREE!!!
