"That I May Know Him..."

"As sure as God puts His children in the furnace, He will be in the furnace with them." -- C.H. Spurgeon

Keith often preaches about faith. He talks about the fact that every child of God is either in the midst of a storm, coming out of a storm, or is about to head into a storm. You see, it's in the storm that our faith is tried. Too often we ask God to deliver us from a trial, when what we really need is to endure the trial. There is no shame in wanting deliverance, but it is in the trial that we learn to know Christ.

"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" Philippians 3:10

To know Christ... That is my desire.

What storm are you facing? Are you seeking to know Christ? Have you recently survived a storm? Are you using what you've learned to help others through their storm? Are you about to enter a storm? Are you ready to know Christ AND the power of His resurrection? Whatever your state is... Know that God is in the furnace with you.

WONDERFUL post. So true..and realistic we need to be in our walk with the LORD. To try us is a blessed honor if we seek to know the good work he desires in us..whether by growth of more faith, or helping others as you stated or magnifying his Grace in us. We need not fear storms. I thought immediatley of the Rainbow at the end..a standing evident PROMISE that their is not going to be overwelming floods of grief that will destroy you...a PROMISE of his great care!

I am so HAPPY for your answer to prayer about the church! In HIS time...

God bless you in this new journey...

Having prayed in my walk with the Lord to know God, I never realized he would take me to the places he has taken me to learn about him.
Letting patience have its perfect work is hard at times but in the end what a more beautiful picture we have our our Heavenly Father.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
God Bless you.
