Z is for Zoo...

Today was absolutely beautiful!  It reached into the double digits Celsius. Sorry, American friends, I still haven't got a handle on Fahrenheit. The sky was blue and sunny. A perfect, Spring-is-Coming kinda day!
It was just what we (I) needed! A day with just us. We decided to take the kids to the St. Louis Zoo. A great deal if you're ever in the area. The zoo itself is free and parking is only $11. Maybe this doesn't impress you, but I grew up with the Toronto Zoo which is (or at least has been) very expensive!
Here are some pictures we took. Keith actually had the camera for part of the day, so I managed to get in a shot with Kaylee! Oops... no Keith though.
Looking at some of these animals, one has to admit that God has a sense of humor. If you don't believe me look in the mirror tomorrow morning, before you freshen up! Why some Christians walk around thinking sober means somber is beyond me! Why would the Bible have words like laughter and joy if God meant us to look all serious and somber all the time? So, smile and enjoy God's creation. Just be careful not to crack your face!

We haven't been to the zoo in Winnipeg for several years...hopefully we'll get there this summer. I think right now we'd be climbing snow banks!

I always loved going to the zoo! Haven't been in years though. Everywhere you look, you can see God's Touch and Creativity. I totally agree about having joy and laughter. If Christians walked around looking like they just bit into a sour persimmon, why would a sinner want to become a Christian? Don't worry about getting the Fahrenheit...I don't get the Celsius except that 0 C. is 32 F. ;-D
