Whiz kid!

Our son, Jerry, who will be five in just two months is following in his Poppa's shoes. The things he can do on the computer! Just now, Grandpa went to use his computer and the blue menu bar at the bottom of the screen was missing. Jerry played on that computer yesterday. Now, none of us are very computer literate. We know what we know by accident. Jerry on the other hand has a real knack for computers of any kind. He came over and had that blue bar back on the computer in short order.

All we have to do is put on an web site (approved of course) and Jerry will figure it out with very little help. (A good reason why children should NEVER use a computer unsurpervised!!!) If anyone knows of any good sites for preschoolers let us know.

Jerry gets it from Poppa LeGrow. I remember when my Dad started out with a Commador 64, you remember the ones that plugged into a TV and used a cassette recorder to play programs? He does amazing things with a computer now and is self-taught, just like Jerry. By the time Jerry's ten, he'll be putting together our video presentations and fixing our computers. What a blessing! Even as a baby, Jerry wouldn't just play with his toys. He would turn them around and around until he found every button or moving part before playing.

What e're ya goin' do when yer kid'z smarter thin you?!

Have a great New Year's Eve! My prayer for 2010 is -- "God keep our land glorious and free." Looking forward to the return of Christ, Lord willing, it'll be this year! God bless. Keep on a prayin'!

That happens all the time here! Whenever Mom`s stuck with something on the computer, she`ll call one of the children to help.
Have a great New Year!

Sad isn't it that we have to depend on kids for these things? My oldest son used to say, "Mom, you have to learn to do this yourself!" Now he's not here, it's Justin, my 14 year old that gets frustrated when I keep asking for help!

Know what you mean. I learnedby trial and error. Mostly eror. My grandson comes and ask what I make it so complicated. Well, my way does the same thing except it takes me longer. I don't use the shortcuts.
